Skiing in Tignes

From Tignes-le-Lac, holidaymakers can enjoy a huge ski area

counting nearly 300km of slopes spread over the sectors of Tignes - Val

of Isère). Accessible to all levels, skiing in Tignes allows both

great sportsmen as well as beginners to "familiarize" with the mountain.


The secret of Tignes le Lac? It is the love for the snow, the splendor of the Northern Alps and the

joy of versatility. You will juggle between punchy slopes and cross roads to criss-cross the assembly from one side to the other. The ski area, which seems endless, guarantees snow from November to May and even as early as October, for the most passionate! The glacier of the Grande Motte is accessible most of the year.


Exploit the extent of the area from Tignes-le-Lac!

Start the morning gently on the right wing of the valley by taking the chairlift from Palafour. Then, enjoy the view for a moment before rejoining the Grand Huit chairlift which takes you to a 180 degree view of Tignes. Afterwards, head for the chairlift the Aiguille Percée to get some air at an altitude of 2748m. Once at the top, admire the breathtaking setting that opens onto the Col de la Sachette. But above all, for more daring, dare, offer yourself the photo of the year at the foot of the real Aiguille Percée; the essential spot of Tignes. From here, you can descend via the Brévières trail to discover the bottom of the valley. Itinerary that leaves time for the mountain to

warm up.

In the afternoon, explore the area opposite. Take the gondola Tovière and switch to the Val d'Isère sector. You will discover many lifts lifts and slopes for all levels with preserved snow.
